F*cking for green energy

This is a contest entry by Gene d'Cruze (UK) for the IIDA Green Life competition. It's a suit you wear while having sex in order to generate electricity. I'm not kidding, here are the designer's own words:

Playsuit allows couples to charge and power objects around the home through the energy generated by foreplay and love-making. The crotchless suits are made from a polyester-spandex blend, and are covered with tiny carbon nanotube bristles. These bristles generate charge when the fabric is rubbed together, and allows objects to be powered by plugging them into the suit via a small output near the lower back. The suits are lightweight, and thin enough to feel the touch of your partner anywhere on your body. They are machine washable, and completely safe to use. Whilst this technology can be regularly used to sporadically charge mobile phones and similar products, the increased surface area and prolonged contact of intercourse make this application suitable for powering more substantial devices around the home. Playsuit brings couples closer together, encouraging a healthy and regular sex life, and allowing them to work towards a completely sustainable lifestyle.

Brilliant. Hot-wire my heart, baby.
