Hello Bavaria

Here are a few more photos from my recent journeys through Germany. This time I've been to the Bavarian cities of Munich and Nuremberg.

Munich - the busy city

Marienplatz is the main square and centre of Germany's third biggest city.

Post-war reconstruction focused on recovering the city's historical references.

Italian baroque in the German metropolis.

The subway development was boosted for the 1972 Olympic Games.

Nuremberg - Hitler's favourite and now I know why

Once the centre of the Nazi regime the city has recovered from serious war destruction.

Part of the Imperial Castle where Kaisers used to reside since the 11th century.

This is where the renaissance painter Albrecht Dürer once lived.

Every corner in the beautiful old town centre looks like this.

Here and here are my other related posts with more photos in case you missed them.
